My experience-I get migraines once every few years, so I have no idea what causes them.

I mean, I'm definitely grateful I don't get them more often, but it's really confusing to me. I haven't had one since 2019, and today I'm feeling all good about to go get some food and I realize I can't see out of part of my left eye and realize I'm about to have a migraine. I then had the usual horrible pain with some more shooting pain behind my eyes than I'm used to for probably 2 or 3 hours, then I fell asleep.

I usually throw up but I didn't this time. Now I feel hungover and like I lost like 10 iq points, which is usual if memory serves. I'll probably feel a little out of it for a couple days.

It's like, maybe it's stress but I just got on winter break and today is my 2nd of 3 days I set out to do nothing but relax so I wasn't stressed yesterday or today, and I've definitely felt stressed many times since my last one. It could be my sleep schedule being thrown off but that's happened without triggering a migraine many times since the last one, could be the weather changing but same deal, I didn't eat anything yesterday I don't eat regularly -- I really don't know what causes them and why so infrequently. I was kind of hoping I was just done with them.
