Migraine overview
A migraine is a headache that can purpose intense throbbing suffering or a pulsing sensation, typically on one facet of the head. It's often accompanied with the aid of nausea, vomiting, and excessive sensitivity to mild and sound. Migraine assaults can closing for hours to days, and the discomfort can be so excessive that it interferes with your each day activities. For some people, a warning symptom viewed as an air of secrecy takes location until now than or with the headache. An air of secrecy can consist of visible disturbances, such as flashes of mild or blind spots, or different disturbances, such as tingling on one thing of the face or in an arm or leg and concern speaking.
My experience-Propranolol first impressions...
So far I've only taken two 20 mg doses (so 40 mg total)... one last night, and one this morning. Despite making me feel tired last night, I had a hard time falling asleep (even WITH melatonin AND another sleep aid). Today I feel tired and funny in my head as well. Granted, I don't have a migraine (yet) but I don't feel well either. I've read this pill can cause insomnia by suppressing melatonin, and I fear taking another pill tonight...
My life has just been a living nightmare since the CGRP shots stopped working for me and I had to try another drug class before getting my insurance to cover Botox. I'm afraid to do that too, but running out of options here. Because outside of triptan drugs which DO work for me when I have a migraine, NO other oral preventatives (including CGRP's like Nurtec & Qulipta) ever seem to work for me without massive side effects that I can't live with. :(
What are your experiences with propranolol?
