My experience-Strange symptoms- does it sound like migraine?

I've gotten migraines since middle school (the usual symptoms, aura, nausea, headache, GI upset, etc). Today I was lying down reading and suddenly went mostly blind in my left eye. It dissipated after a few minutes, along with seeing "stars". It freaked me out though.

I am at the end of my period, the day when I usually get a migraine, and I am now noticing some GI upset, so maybe what I experienced was a migraine aura after all?

I was particularly stressed today and wonder if it triggered a blood pressure thing, or just the stress triggering the migraine aura... but of course I am also slightly freaked out because it could be a mini stroke I guess... has anyone had something similar?
