My experience-Propranolol and dizziness
I started taking 80mg of Propranolol (40mg twice daily) a little over two weeks ago for migraine prevention. I’ve noticed that I’ve been kind of dizzy, but my headaches were mostly gone so I figured it was using. On Thursday (three days ago), I felt EXTREMELY dizzy and lightheaded, to the point where I really thought I was going to pass out and strongly considered going to the ER. I’m 27F, overweight but not debilitatingly so by any means, and my blood pressure is historically a bit high. I called my doctor on Friday morning and made an appointment for this coming week, but have been reducing my dosage since then. I’m still very dizzy and TIRED to the point where I can’t really do anything because I feel so unsteady.
BASICALLY my point of this post is to ask: 1) did anyone else experience extreme dizziness and lightheadedness while taking Propranolol? 2) did anyone experience continued lightheadedness even as they came off of propranolol?
My awful anxiety of course has me thinking I have a brain tumor or something so please reassure me.
