My experience-Is it possible to have a migraine for 7 days straight?

Last week I was driving to work and noticed my eyes were slow to focus on things in the distance, by the time I got to work I had this weird cold pressure in the back of my head and a mild throbbing in my left temple, I thought nothing of it and took some painkillers.

Throughout the day I noticed I was dizzy and my balance was off almost like i was drunk. Then later at night when I was tired I started to get swaying sensations like I'm on a boat.

I've now had this exact thing for 7 days and it's not improved at all, no over the counter treatment has helped and my doctor just told me to get my eyes tested??

Is just curious if this is common for migraine sufferers, Has anyone else experienced this?
