My experience-Migraines suddenly ramping up

Hi hi fellow migraineurs, I hope today is a headache free day for you

I want to know if this is common/others have had this experience

I've been on my daily preventer, lamotrigine, for about 1.5 years now. It was working quite well, previous to this I was getting migraines most days since my diagnosis about 6 months prior, I also tried propranolol and candesartan as prophylactis which did not work for me

I was only getting the occasional migraine if I was really tired and burnt out, sometimes from my period, or if I consumed too much caffeine

My period arrived last week, and I was hit with the worst migraine I had probably had all year, equal to the one which gave me my diagnosis (I was hospitalised with a hemiplegic migraine, we didn't know what was wrong with me at first)

For about a week now I have been having migraines every day, extremely vicious pain in one or both temples, nausea, photophobia, and my aura of numbness/tingling in my arms. The postdrome inbetween is brutal too, I am constantly fatigued and feel a bit... dope-y? As if I cannot think properly

I haven't changed anything in my routine or diet, what is going on :(
