My experience-sharp pain when laying down

I'm getting a weird sharp pain in the back of my head on the left side, not a large area, I'd guess no wider than a golf ball. I have a slight headache everywhere and nausea but when I put my head down, there's a pretty sharp pain for a few seconds that kind of slows down. When I'm laying flat it's there but much more mellow. When my head is about an inch from the bed it's pretty bad. It doesn't do it if I lay down on the right side of my body.
