I know how to avoid migraine water at home, but I can't control everything when I go to other people's houses for holidays. I can't tell when carbon filtered water is hiding in the coffee or in some water bottle brands. And on top of that, it feels like people think I'm crazy when I tell them that water gives me debilitating migraines. Everyone thinks Britta or Berkey filtered water is better than tap water because filtering is obviously safer, but for me it's this horrible sneaky poison that almost caused me to fail a bunch of college classes due to a month long migraine. The worst part of that ordeal was all the advice to drink more water when I had a headache... I tried constantly. And I had no idea it was making it worse.

So yeah I'm just hiding in the bathroom and chugging as much Gatorade as possible to make it go away. I think I'm almost done with the pain, but my day was ruined and I feel stupid for not making absolutely sure every source of water was safe. Especially because this just happened at Thanksgiving and I should have known better.

My brain feels fried. I hate this. I hate Berkey. I hate Britta. And I hate all the water bottle brands that use carbon filtering without labeling it. Why did I have to get such a ridiculous migraine trigger? Does anyone else even have this problem? I still feel crazy for thinking it's the water and for saying it out loud to people.
