My experience-Toradol alone vs "Migraine Cocktail?"

I've only been to the ER one time. On that occasion, I had an excruciating migraine and the ER gave what they referred to as a "Migraine Cocktail." I know it involved Toradol IV. I also think they gave me Benadryl and Reglan. I'm not sure if the Benadryl/Reglan were IV, but I know I drank at least part of that in a dixie cup.

So... I went to Urgent Care for the 1st time the other day. When I told him about the migraine cocktail he said "we don't have that stuff" about the Reglan and Benadryl. All they gave me was IM Toradol.

It seemed like the IM Toradol didn't do anything at all! (Weirdly, the migraine went away about 3.5 hours later, after I took ginger/caffeine/magnesium/sumatriptan. I say weirdly because the migraine was so bad I didn't expect that to work at all.)

Now I'm not sure what happened? It seemed like either the Toradol alone didn't work at all? ... or else it just took forever?

Is there some special synergistic effect of taking the entire migraine cocktail all at once?
