My experience-Is this an ocular migraine, or something else?

I’m pretty convinced I’m having ocular migraines, but wanted to check here if anyone else who gets ocular migraines can validate these symptoms.

Last Wednesday I was working at my computer (I work remotely) and noticed I could barely see my screen to type. It was like part of my vision was blocked out, seemingly from the left side, but it happened whether I closed my left or right eye. Then, I started to notice a zig-zag, squiggly line that was kind of blinking/flashing enter the field of my vision. This lasted for about 20 minutes and did not really improve with anything I tried to alleviate it, like putting on blue light glasses, avoiding, my screen, sitting in a dark room, etc.

After the squiggling line/flashing went away, I felt a general pressure in my head, not really pain or throbbing or pushing like my normal migraines. That too resolved about 20-30 minutes later.

About 10 or so minutes before this whole episode, I started to feel off, like I was spaced-out and super drained all of a sudden.

This exact same thing happened on Sunday (yesterday) and again today- just about 20 minutes ago. I’m still in the general pressure sort of phase now.

I booked an eye appointment for tomorrow morning just to rule out retinal detachment or major eye issues… but does this sound like ocular migraine?

I also should mention, I am on hormonal BC due to my PCOS and suspected endometriosis. My neurologist and gynecologist both ok’d this due to me not having history of migraine with visual aura… but I’m hoping this doesn’t change that :( I don’t know what I’ll do to treat my other issues if I can’t take BC anymore.
