My experience-Tips for migraine-friendly noise reduction / loud neighbours rant

I live in a big apartment block, and my neighbours have a fucking radar for when I get a killer migraine. There I am, lying in the dark, trying not to puke my guts out, with noise being one of my worst sensitivities during an attack, and they start having a party, moving furniture, drilling, hammering, dogs start barking... At first it was funny how bad my luck was (I don't get migraines constantly, so it's not like the probability is that high), now I just want to cry and scream.

Does anyone have any migraine-friendly tips for noise reduction, aside from moving to the middle of fucking nowhere (which I have no money for)? Of course, shutting the noise out with other noise is out of the question. Standard ear canal earplugs/headphones hurt my ears and worsen the migraine. Are there any migraine-friendly earplugs...? Noise-reduction head bands...? Anything...?

Also, fuck loud neighbours. We need soundproofed flats advertised for people with chronic pain in this society.
