My experience-Need to vent

Hi everyone. I just found this subreddit but I think I found my people. I had a bad concussion in 2012 (and several more since) that resulted in chronic daily migraines for 6 years. A combination of Botox and Aimovig had it mostly under control. Then I got bucked off a horse and fractured a vertebrae and they went almost entirely away. I had 3.5 years of almost no migraines.

Over the past 7 months I’ve noticed a marked increase in the frequency. At first it was one here or there and I could chalk it up to barometric pressure shifts. Now I’m up to 2-3 a week. I work in veterinary medicine and the barking and whining and machines beeping just make it all so much worse. And because we’re chronically short staffed I never feel like I’m able to call out. After all, I made it through high school with daily migraines. This should be easy right?

I’m not sure what to do at this point. I’ve started the process of talking to my doctor but because they had never dealt with this issue with me it feels like we’re starting back at square one.
