My experience-Strange Qulipta side effect

My neurologist took me off Qulipta because I’ve been having what I suspect to be a reaction to it. I’m quite sad as it has worked a dream to stop my frequent migraine attacks. But I noticed when I started last February, I would get flares of interstitial cystitis pain more often. Gradually over the course of this past year or so of being on Qulipta, the pain flares increased in frequency until it was a weekly multi day occurrence. New stats came out on long term Qulipta usage showing an increase in utis for some patients. Now, I’m not getting UTIs but IC is like the pain of UTIs with no treatable infection. It’s inflammation. I stopped Qulipta a week ago and have noticed my bladder pain gradually calming down. And my migraine attacks gradually kicking back up. Ughhh.

When I searched for a connection between IC flares and Qulipta or cgrps I couldn’t find much so I’m sharing in case it’s helpful for anyone else. I’m prone to this dumb bladder thing which I think is why I had it as a reaction to the Qulipta. 😭
