My experience-Coming off meds for pregnancy - tips?
Im currently on Emgality preventative and Zolmitriptan rescue for my migraines. The Emgality has really helped (only been on for 2 months) so far, I feel like I only get a few headaches a week now as opposed to one every other day. And my rescue helps me kill those ones usually. But my husband and I are considering starting a family soon, and I know I’m going to have to come off of these for that and I’m really nervous. Thankfully my migraines don’t completely incapacitate me. I’m still able to be at work I’m just highly uncomfortable. And when I’m not at work and I have one I don’t really do much. So socializing, chores, etc. are kinda not happening. But at least I can mostly deal with it (most of the time). So I don’t have it as bad as some, but I am really nervous and don’t want to deal with them again. Anyone have any tips at all for coming off these meds and dealing with migraines while trying to conceive and while pregnant? **Of course I will be speaking with my neurologist before stopping anything!
