Migraine overview
A migraine is a headache that can purpose intense throbbing suffering or a pulsing sensation, typically on one facet of the head. It's often accompanied with the aid of nausea, vomiting, and excessive sensitivity to mild and sound. Migraine assaults can closing for hours to days, and the discomfort can be so excessive that it interferes with your each day activities. For some people, a warning symptom viewed as an air of secrecy takes location until now than or with the headache. An air of secrecy can consist of visible disturbances, such as flashes of mild or blind spots, or different disturbances, such as tingling on one thing of the face or in an arm or leg and concern speaking.
My experience-Occipital neuralgia
In Jan- February I had a 40 day long headache. It was in the back of my right head where my neck meets the base of my skull. It was there all day. The worst pain ever. Radiated up to my right eye and back of my ear. I took steroids for a week and it went away mostly- same with a dose of abx because we thought it was a sinus infection. It went away for two to three weeks and now it’s back. MRI of brain was normal. It’s severe. It’s all day long. Worse when I get up and start moving around after I wake up, worse when moving neck too. It’s the exact same spot, right of the back of the head and radiates to the back of my ear and my nose, as well as the back of my right eye. It is debilitating and I’m living off of Tylenol and Advil every day at this point. My doctor thinks it’s ON and is willing to do a nerve block in a few weeks. Does this sound like occipital neuralgia and if so what can I do? This is awful and I’m not coping well
