My experience-Uncommon triggers / not a migraine?
Hello fellow sufferers,
I've been trying to find out if anyone is suffering from the same kind of symptoms. Instead of having Attacks that are triggered, I have symptoms that gradually get worse as I spend time in brightly lit rooms. After a few minutes around fluorescents my forehead starts to feel like it's filled with pressure and electricity. Then light-colored surfaces start looking too bright. Then colors start looking muted. Then my nose clogs up?? Given enough time, I retreat completely into myself - I can't really communicate with people, because I also become extremely sound-sensitive.
I've suffered from what I call the Nameless Headache Condition for about a decade. So far the best my neurologist and I can do is that my headaches aren't migraines - I've had about a dozen aural migraines during my lifetime, and they're a different beast altogether.
