Hey, friends. I recently told at neurology appt I would be a good candidate for Botox. Needless to say I cried when my insurance called me with the the joke of a quote.
As someone now on disability leave (shout to Unions!!) from work over their migraines to see if their other situations going on and find my treatment, Botox still feels like the way to go. I’ve heard great things and I also have a bad history with medication simply not being what my body is into. My meds have not been effective thus far, and I’m in fact on doing worse.
So, this post is 2 fold! A PSA and a question!
1: Friends, if you don’t know about the Botox Savings Program, the coordinator at the office sent me the info and I want you to have it too!! The inaccessibility of health care in the states is a Hate Crime against poor folks, disabled folks, and many other marginalized demographics because intersectionality and the ensuing discrimination, disparate treatment, and increased risk factors are real.
They said that they cover $1,000 and then you are responsible for the rest, usually an insurance picks it up because now there is less cost.

2: Folks who have used the Botox Savings Program, and ideally, folks who specifically have Kaiser health insurance
After you sent your Botox Savings Program stuff in, did Kaiser cover what was left of the cost or make any further insurance contribution?
