My experience-Anyone with experience with Orilissa (medication for endometriosis pain)?
Today my OB/GYN offered me some information on Orilissa for endometriosis pain. My endometriosis pain is becoming completely untenable, so when you combine that with chronic migraine, life's a peach. My doctor wanted me to read about Orilissa, think about it, etc. I'm 42 and not on hormonal birth control due to the risk of stroke associated with migraine with aura (plus we're infertile).
Does anyone here with endometriosis as a comorbidity with migraine with aura or chronic migraine have any experience with Orilissa, and if so, how is/was it for you? I'm concerned about some reviews I've read saying people had increased migraines and headaches, increased symptoms of depression and/or anxiety, and other side effects. While I'd like to do something easier than a hysterectomy to make this pain stop, I'm not willing to cause my migraines to get worse than they already are.
I have an ultrasound scheduled for the 17th to look for cysts and a follow-up with the doctor in April. I told her I probably wouldn't decide anything until after the ultrasound. I did tell her today I think it's time for laparoscopy to look at the endo situation, and she is willing to go ahead and schedule that as well. She said I don't have to try the Orilissa at all, I can try it now, or I can wait until after a laparoscopy and try it then. I just want to know if anybody here has experience. Thanks.
