My experience-Propranolol withdrawal experience?
I had a headache for 2-3 months straight and was prescribed these as also had a bit high bp when I saw the doctor. From the 1st tablet I had terrible side effects, fluttering chest pain, acid reflux, runny nose, cold hands/feet and and pounding heartbeat. My bp and heart rate came down gradually but I felt awful and still had headaches.
After 4 weeks I wanted off them and Doctor said just stop taking them (didn't mention tapering off).
Day 1 I was fine, resting heart rate went up from low 60s to mid 70's and felt less cold. Day 2 - 4 chest pain and heart rate got higher and is now resting around 88 bpm and hitting 100 just moving room to room.Have headache, chest pain and dizzy off and on and my blood pressure has went up each day.
I'm wondering if anyone else had went through the withdrawal and knows a timeline of how long side effects will last and in particular timeline of heart rate/ bp going back to normal. Its freaking me out a bit just since its so high doing nothing. I was prescribed Citalopram and hesitant to start them because I don't think I'm depressed (sure the doctor thinks I have anxiety headache) and worry the side effects will all overlap.
