My experience-Looking for studies - migraine

Hello! In a kind of desperate hope im turning to reddit.

Im looking for studies that have been done regardning migraine in airline pilots.

Ive got a deferal on my class 1 medical due to having migraines as a child/youth.

I have the head-neurologist in the hospital vouching for me, using the CAA’s own 1% rule, she means im «well bellow the 1% rule for incapsitation»

Even tho she says this is a juvenile migraine (with now 2 years of no attacks) (with known triggers), the CAA says i need studies to proove my case.

Apprently getting one of the greatest neurologists in our country isnt viewed as acceptable, due to it beeing «just based on their oppinion»

They are also manipulating the CAA UK’s guideline for migraine, saying i need atleast 10 years of no migraines even tho my previous ones has not been dissabling.

So i am desperately looking for any studies done regarding: Juveline migraine Risk for recuring migraine Migraine in pilots

I thank each and everyone trying to help here to fufil my dream of becommng a pilot.

Also: when using ChatGPT it says there has been some studies conducted, but whenever i try searching for the material, i cant find any.
