My experience-Wondering if I had a migraine

Hi all,

I’m looking for advice whether or not I experienced a migraine.. I have other health issues going on at the moment and can’t see my doctor until the end of February.

A little background.. I had my one and only migraine (with aura) 5 years ago. It was the whole body experience with the zigzag aura, light sensitivity, numb hands and headache pain. I never figured out what caused it and took some pain meds and was fine the next day.

Fast forward to now.. A little over a week ago I randomly had a period come (2 weeks after my previous period) and has lasted like 9 days. I had light cramping, light - medium spotting and im unsure why. Im wondering if this hormonal fluctuation may have triggered a migraine (without aura).

A timeline of symptoms:

Monday: Cramping, nausea, insomnia, yawning

Tuesday: Cramping, nausea, insomnia, yawning

Wednesday: woke up dizzy, arms and legs felt heavy, bad nausea, insomnia, headache started, sensitive to light, sensitive ears

Thursday: headache continued, intensified

Friday: headache switched side of head, very intense, sensitive to light, runny nose, sensitive ears

Saturday: headache for 3/4 of the day, finally took Tylenol, fatigue, sensitive to light, runny nose, sensitive ears

Sunday: eye pain, head in clouds sensation, fatigue, sensitive to light, runny nose

Monday (today): sensitive to light, dizziness, fatigue, generally still feeling weird, runny nose, sensitive ears

I suffer from chronic gastritis which does give me lots of GI symptoms, but the constant nausea is not one of them.

Thanks so much for any information!
