My experience-First migraine in months and it's really getting to me

I just need to vent really quick.

I've had terrible Migraines for about 9 years now. At my worst, I was having around 25 migraine days a month.

My body does not tolerate medication well. The side effects of any drugs I've been prescribed have been too severe for me to continue use. So instead, I make do Ibuprofen, heat/cold packs, and pressure. I'm lucky enough now to work from home, so at least I can keep the lights low and moderate any noise.

Summer is normally the worst for me (both from Migraines and a couple other "invisible illnesses"). Somehow, this summer, I have been doing amazing. Until Friday, I hadn't had a single migraine day in over two months.

Then boom! Migraine. I'm on day 3 now.

I know this migraine is no worse than any other migraine I've had in the past, but having the reprieve of the last couple months, it feels so much worse. Like my brain and body forgot how bad it was because it had been such a constant thing.

I really did forget how bad this felt. And not just the pain, but the vertigo, nausea, sensitivity to light and sound, the malaise and dulled thinking.

Ugh, I can't wait for this one to end.

Thanks for listening, I just needed to complain a bit.
