My experience-Black shapes shimmer white? Is there a name for this?

Hi fellow migraine-havers,

Recently I've noticed on TVs/Monitors in some cases black shapes will shimmer and strobe white if I look at them a certain way. It can be black dots (like that squares/invisible dots illusion) or any shapes in that nature. I fear if I look too long at it while it's happening that it'll start a migraine/scintillating scotoma wave.

I was watching Coco with my wife, and there was a moment maybe when they're all on stage where the wall had black wavy elements over a lighter background. Those lines specifically started strobing at me, happening completely in my eye and not actually occurring.

Is there a name for this type of eye illusion? I want to research it if there's any further reading/help for avoidance.

Thanks!
