My experience-I may have found a solution to my nose pain which my neurologist suspects could be an issue with my trigeminal nerve. Aloe with lidocaine!

I get this annoying pain around my nose, usually the left side. It feels like someone punched me in the face. Sometimes it happens before a migraine, other times it occurs during, and sometimes it lasts right through it. When I told my headache doctor about it she wondered if my trigeminal nerve was extra sensitive and triggering an attack or if it was a symptom. Either way she told me to try Advil. I never did because it didn't feel like a pain Advil would help. She also suggested taking Nurtec at the first sign of it. I usually do and more times than not it stops the pain.

I've taken a lot of Nurtec recently so I'm running low. I remembered this aloe I purchased while on vacation...it had .5% lidocaine in it. Within a minute or so the pain disappeared. I don't want to jinx it, but I might have found a solution for the nose pain!

Has anyone else tried something similar? It seems like it could either be hit or miss with whether it works for nerves.
