My experience-First Botox treatment next week; seeking words of encouragement

I (25F) have been suffering from migraines for a little more than 13 years. I’ve tried what feels like everything under the sun (i.e. Topax, Emgality, Nurtec, Amitriptyline, etc.) without success. The only thing that DID work for me was Aimovig, which i was on for a magical, life-changing two and a half years until insurance issues arose and they started charging me nearly $800 per month for each injection. I’ve now been off Aimovig since May and this summer has been hellish to say the least. My neurologist fought and fought with my insurance company to no avail, but ended up being able to get preauthorization for Botox treatment. I now have an appointment for next week on Sept 15th. I was thrilled when I got the call letting me know I’d been approved, but after doing some research, I’m feeling pretty discouraged. From lots of stuff I’ve seen, it pretty much takes the full nine months to see substantial relief, and I just can’t wait that long. I’ve already taken 3 days of work off within the last month and I feel like I’m just a shell of the person I was while I was truly able to enjoy life on Aimovig. I’m worried that I’ll have to wait nearly a year to be able to live a normal life again while on Botox, and that thought depresses me to no end. I’m tired of this struggle and just want to feel good again. So, does anyone have any words of encouragement for me regarding the way they felt after Botox? Did it help you before 9 months? Or do you have any advice on what I could do while waiting for the injections to become more effective? I realize there are no guarantees that the outcome will be the same for me and it was for others, but if nothing else, it would bring some peace of mind to see some Botox success stories. Thank you in advance!
