My experience-Why am I having such bad luck with neurologists? [rant]
I've been thinking about registering a complaint to the board about the headache "specialist" I was seeing. On my last visit, out of nowhere, he went on about some nonesense about how my supposed "depression" is the cause behind my headache issue, this was a diagnosis he seemingly just pulled out of thin air. Firstly my issue stems from a vasospam event, I certainly wasn't depressed then and I'm not depressed now. What does this have to do with anything? It's rather inconsistent that he believed me on every detail until then. They don't get to speculate on what I(or anyone) know to be false, because only I would know if I'm depressed or not. There's some odd self-selection going behind these specialists, they have no bedside manner, arrogant, abrupt, and think they have some leverage because they've specialized in something and therefore can say whatever they want.
No agreement or consistency between them either; I have a chronic tension-headache? A migraine? Or an "I don't know", it really just depends on which one you asked.
