My experience-Ubrelvy completely ineffective for anyone else?

Okay, so just to clarify a kind of obviously dumb question, because yeah of course the same meds don't work for everyone, but I kind of had super high hopes for Ubrelvy specifically? The concensus overwhelmingly was that this is a miracle drug for migraineurs, at least from my research.

I have been run through the neurologist encyclopedia of Shit To Try since age 17, and these days I live and die by rizatriptan. It's the most effective triptan for me, and even it doesn't work all the time. I was tangentially curious when I heard about Ubrelvy but I'm pretty tired of healthcare games and shelling out $100 neurologist copays to have them bring up botox for the 60th "No".

But I mentioned to my OBGYN about a month back that I can't move a migraine no matter what I do during menstruation. She wrote me a script for Ubrelvy right there, and I generally trust her not to be a pusher for kickbacks (if only because she's young enough to still care) so I saw it as a good backup to my usual methods.

So far it hasn't done much for me? The best it worked is when I caught a very early migraine and had already taken a Goodys, but mostly it's like I took nothing stronger than an ibuprofen and I keep getting rebound headaches a few hours later. I know my triggers pretty well, as numerable as they are, but I often wake up with full blown migraines first thing in the morning - so needing to rely on early signals is a crapshoot half the time. It got its real test today: out of rizatriptan because season changes are a bitch, terrible migraine, on my rag, first thing I did after opening my eyes to blaring pain was pay homage to the porcelain god (puke). Over the course of 6 hours I took 2 Ubrelvy and more Excedrin than I want to be lectured about... nothing.

I dunno, I feel let down in a weird way. Like I stated, I understand different people, different meds - like Triptans vary wildly across the spectrum, and it's not the first time a med that works well for others hasn't for me, but I dunno... it's almost comically not for me. I haven't had a copay for 2 boxes so far so I actually feel worse that it's not working because new brand name meds are not usually cheap, much less free, and rizatriptan fills are so stingy. I really wanted it to be a viable supplement.

I'm going to report a no-go to my OB when I see her next, but I already know I'm going to get that look. You know, that look that is the doctor equivalent of "did you try turning it off and on again". Has anyone taking Ubrelvy experienced a miraculous increase in effectiveness over time? Do you have a certain way of taking it?
