My experience-Tension headache?
Hi! M21
Been having this head pressure only on the right side of my head. It’s sharp on my temple but is present also around my ear and on my jaw. I do clench my teeth sometimes in my sleep and my jaw clicks every morning. Been to the dentist, he noticed my cheek muscles were tight and he’s gonna make me a splint to sleep. I also have GAD. Also when I bend over the pressure increases on that right side but it doesn’t hurt, just pressure just as when I lay on one side it is sometimes worse than on the other one. Also have a (perceived) weakness in my left arm and left leg. I can do everything I want it just feels heavier with left. GP said it would be measurable in a neuro exam if it were true clinical weakness.
I’ve had these symptoms for almost two months now. It’s there every day the whole day, it comes in waves. Sometimes it’s less and sometimes it’s worse but the feeling is always there (also I’m thinking about it 24/7 which doesn’t help of course). Been to my GP twice, she says she doesn’t see need for further MRI because I passed her neuro exam twice. In therapy for my anxiety, what could this be? In 4-6 weeks I’ll go to my GP again to see if the symptoms lessened. The pressure isn’t worse in the mornings and don’t wake me up from sleep. It is there when I wake up though but gets a little worse throughout the day and becomes almost nothing when laying in bed again at night. Afraid of a tumor of course …
What could this be?TMD? Maybe a tension headache (can that be constant and on one side)? Help! Haha. GP says even a tension/anxiety headache can present on just one side continuously. My therapist says the power of your mind is enormous. A great pressure in the temple is not a typical sign of a brain tumor says my GP it would rather be really on the head. It is with me really on the temple on the right side and radiates to around the ear and neck. Sometimes it is also present on my left temple.
