My experience-coping with vertigo

A couple months ago my very well managed migraines suddenly escalated. I'm trying new medications, sleeping a lot, minimizing unnecessary activity etc. and I'm keeping myself together basically enough to get a mediocre full workday done everyday. Whatever, you guys know this story, it sucks but it's survivable and I'm still holding out hope that it'll go back to (my) normal.

The thing that is killing me is the vertigo, which I've never had before and I absolutely hate. I'm getting both little bits of daily dizziness and sudden violent attacks of it that feel like I'm suddenly very very drunk. It's worse than the pain, which I know how to deal with. I've lost this whole afternoon lying down in spite of my headache being pretty mild, because the vertigo is so unpleasant. I know a bunch of tricks for dealing with other migraine symptoms, do people have standard advice for vertigo?
