My experience-Anxiety about the future

I don’t really know how to fully articulate this (thanks migraine brain), but how do you cope mentally with the impact of migraines on your life? And mindset looking forward?

I’ve been suffering with them for around 5 years and it’s only just recently but I suddenly just can’t imagine myself living the rest of my life like this, with this amount of pain and nausea.

I’m in the UK and my NHS doctor doesn’t give a crap. Other doctors I’ve seen also don’t seem to ‘get it’. Amtripyline helped for a year, but despite dose increases, it just stopped working. I’m now on Propranolol which isn’t really doing anything (I’ve been on it nearly 8 weeks). I’ve got nowhere figuring out what my triggers are (except knowing I can’t exercise at all - not even yoga). It seems almost like I’m past a threshold now and everything triggers them.

Well done if you’ve read this all. I just am lacking hope for the future.

Thanks for reading.
