Migraine overview
A migraine is a headache that can purpose intense throbbing suffering or a pulsing sensation, typically on one facet of the head. It's often accompanied with the aid of nausea, vomiting, and excessive sensitivity to mild and sound. Migraine assaults can closing for hours to days, and the discomfort can be so excessive that it interferes with your each day activities. My experience-After a lifetime of headaches and 4 years of misdiagnosis maybe we are moving the right direction?
I have had headaches since I was 15. I’m 33 now. In the passed 4 years the headaches have been much worse which prompted me to start seeing a doctor. He said “definitely migraines” and I’ve taken many different medications for them with no help. I practically had to beg this man to give me a referral to a neurologist which I finally saw for the first time today. She doesn’t believe I have migraines, and instead have tension headaches coupled with rebound headaches from taking excedrin most days. Scheduling a sleep study and a MRI. I’m so excited to be moving forward! While we wait for the sturdy and mri I have been given Amitriptyline which I believe I have taken before with no results (maybe because of the rebounds?) and Tizanidine. Anyone had success with this combo? Either way I’m just excited to finally have a dr that listens and to get some real tests done.
