My experience-11 yo daughters headaches. Migraines?
I’m hoping to get my daughter seen this week, but thought I would post here to see what you guys thought.
My daughter is 11yo and started suffering from headaches in May. They started in school during state testing when they had to stare at a computer screen for 3 hours a day for the testing. She noted that this would cause her headaches as well as staring at her teachers lighted projector on the wall would trigger it. She’s also starting to develop (hitting puberty), and had some friend drama around the same time. I figured with all these things combined (and a lot of time on her cell phone)- she was dealing with some kind of tension/screen headaches. We got her some blue light glasses and she seemed to be doing better.
Now it’s summer and she’s still dealing with headaches. It’s not as frequent and if we limit screen time she’s usually ok. We noticed she always gets one during tumbling class… or if shes outside. They last anywhere from 30 min to a few hours and sometimes go away without medication.
Could this possibly be migraines? There is some familial history of migraines and I know this plays a part. And of course I’m panicking thinking this Is something sinister. 😞
