My experience-Vision issues lasting days. Anyone?

First time poster, very recent lurker. Last week, I started suffering from a headache behind the eyes. Initially, I thought due to the heat and my breastfeeding, I was just dehydrated, but the headaches never really went away, and it hurt to move my eyes. Last Tuesday night, after spending all day pounding Tylenol and ibuprofen, and seeming like my vision was out of alignment, I experienced a flash in my left eye, it looked like a big snowflake made of lightning bolts, I could barely see out of my left eye. On Wednesday I went to my optometrist and he took pictures of my eye and he said both eyes were healthy. On Thursday, my left eye’s vision was inspired, like half of the vision was blurred. Yesterday, my right eye was experiencing problems and still had some pain. I ended up going to ER to get some help. Doc said he thinks I was having an ocular migraine. I was given fluids and meds (Toradol and Maxeran) and a CT, which showed normal. This morning, I got a great sleep and woke up feeling a little better some slightly better vision in my right eye. ER doc didn’t seem concerned about my vision loss. I do have a hormonal IUD, which the ER doc has recommended that I remove.

Has anyone experienced an ocular migraine or any migraine with partial vision loss lasting several days?
