My experience-ocular migraines

Hi everyone. I just recently found this sub reddit so this is my first post. I've been reading some posts about the different types of migraines and saw a few people who mentioned auras and ocular issues. I had an issue with my vision last night where it became blurred, parts of my vision were blocked out and I saw flashing lights. I went to the ER and they suggested it may be ocular migraines, I forgot the exact term they used. I've never had one before so it was very scary. I'm not looking for medical advice but I was hoping some people could share some experiences they've had with vision issues during/before their migraines so I know what to look out for or any helpful tips? Vision issues are a pretty big fear I struggle with so I was just hoping a little community support could help calm some nerves. Thanks for any help!
