My experience-My intractable migraine is out of control and no medication is helping. I need practical, real-life advice on how to approach this. I'm going to lose my job.

Hello fellow suffers. I am hoping someone can give me some practical advice on my situation. I was diagnosed with chronic intractable migraine over 2 years ago. I have the classic symptoms; head pain, neasuea, dizziness, photophobia, GI issues, ect. I have had this migraine 24/7 for the last 2 years. I've tried and failed over 20 meds and have been in inpatient care twice. Nothing is working except my abortives make me semi+function for half of the day until they wear off. I'm at a 8/10 on the pain scale at some point every day.

I'm not throwing a pity party, I'm just so lost. I've used all my vacation and FMLA at work and I'll soon be fired for missing work. Even if they work with me, I only work 20 hours of my 40 hour week maximum. Our regular bills on top of our medical bills leaves us at a $1,500 deficit every month. My wife works as well and we have 2 children. She's very supportive and I love her for it.

But we are burning through our savings and will be out of money in 2 months. Applying for disability, as we know, takes a long time and we will not survive and be able to pay our bills in the interim.

What am I supposed to do? Sell everything and move my family into my parents house? I just don't see any solutions. Please, any practical advice on how to survive would give me a glimmer of hope.
