My experience-Learned that noise cancelling headphones give me headaches/migraines after buying a pair of them

Purchased a nice pair of noise cancelling headphones that I wanted to wear when I went out in public, especially in grocery/department stores, since I’ve got sensory issues from my autism and the loud overlapping noises from these types of places stress me out. Got them delivered the other day and they work great, but almost immediately after putting them on I felt the onset of a migraine.

This happens every time I put them on. I’m pretty sure it’s the pressure from the headphones around my head, or maybe that combined with the noise cancelling. Can’t even return them because I had to order them pre-owned since they don’t make this model anymore, so I just blew my money on something that’s gonna sit around. And I can’t give them to one of my friends because they’re a model with a wire since I needed them for my iPod nano, and they’ve all got phones without a headphone jack.

My dad even warned me about purchasing them because there was a chance they wouldn’t work. Don’t know how I’m gonna tell him they work perfectly fine, I just can’t use them because my own body betrays itself.
