My experience-How old were you when you had your first migraine with aura?

I ask because I had my first migraine with aura today. Absolutely terrifying, I even called 999 as I hadn't heard of this before. I also don't tend to have migraines either, I get dizziness and menstrual headaches but I'd never say I've really suffered with migraines. I also had no pain today when I had the migraine with aura. Earlier this morning I had been to the doctors about something separate and he asked me to shake my head vigorously from side to side to see if it affected my balance. It didn't but an hour later I had this aura thing so I am wondering if that's what has triggered it?

I am 28 and female currently breastfeeding my 8 month old. I also found out my younger 26 year old brother also has suffered from migraines with and without aura since he was younger so could be a genes thing.

Thanks for reading!
