My experience-Amitriptyline dose

If amitriptyline works for you, at what dose did you know?

I've been taking amytriptyline since March 29. Started at 10 mg at night, went up to 25 mg at night after a few weeks, and I'm now at 35 mg (25 at night, 10 in the morning).

I'm coming in with near daily headaches and 12+ migraines per month.

I had sky high hopes when I went 3 days without a headache after starting the 25 mg dose, but since then it's back to at least every other day.

Just trying to decide if I should ask to keep increasing or look into other options when I speak with my doctor.

I'm not having lingering side effects, just intense cravings/hunger for about a week after each increase. So feeling like I may try to increase again since I'm tolerating it well so far. Just don't know what the upper limit is for migraine prevention.
