My experience-Menstrual migraines questions

Hi all!! I need to figure out if my hormones might be causing some nonsense here. I did some calendars of my migraines and I'm seeing most months I have worse and more frequent migraines 4-5 days before my period up to my period. Not all months are like this though. Some months I see no correlation at all. My migraines are spread all over though so it's hard for me to say if it'd happen anyway. For ladies that get worse migraine during period, is it before the period like me, or during?? Because I seem to do alright the day after it starts except one month I did worse after. So confusing. Anyone like me that had BC help them? Don't want to make things worse so I'm reaching out. Thanks all!!!
