My experience-Is this just the rest of my life?

I've been dealing with chronic tension headaches for about 18 months now. I've had all the tests done, seen various people, tried different medications, and it's still a part of my life and it's exhausting. I currently do weekly physio (including acupuncture and dry needling) and chiro, both of which seem to help mitigate the symptoms, but I still get headaches. The best I can get is 1-2 week stretches where I maybe have a couple headaches, which is a dramatic improvement from a year ago when it was just every day, but it never lasts. Most weeks I still get multiple days of unending dull aches in my temples and jaw. I do daily stretches and exercises and it, in conjunction with the physio and chiro, only seem to get me to a certain level, and only at that level very briefly before things relapse.

The strangest things will trigger it too - like sitting. If I do anything other than sit perfectly upright or slouch forward (which is obviously bad for other reasons) in a kitchen table chair or desk chair, then I inevitably get a headache. I can't lay on a couch and watch a movie anymore. I can't sit in a car without getting headaches. Even laying down is finicky. If I'm laying perfectly flat, it's usually fine, but not always, sometimes I need to go on my side. And if it's fine when I'm perfectly flat, any other addition, like a second pillow to lift my head up a bit, will trigger a headache.

My biggest remedy for my headaches is one that has stumped literally every medical professional I've talked to - wearing headphones or earmuffs. Something about the way it pulls the muscles around the ear just relieves the soreness in my temples. Sometimes it can make it go away fully, other times it merely masks it. The only other avenue I haven't tried is a neurologist, which I am on the waiting list for, but it's 6+ months out (though I'm on a cancellation list, so hopefully sooner).

I'm kind of just venting out of frustration because I spent too much time laying down looking at my phone this morning before getting out of bed and now I have a headache again, after going to bed with one last night. But also if anyone has any remedies or advice or anything really, I'd greatly appreciate it! :)
