My experience-Triggers, medications, and handling migraines
Both of my parents and sisters have migraines. A few years ago, I went to sleep with a migraine and woke up still having it. I didn't sleep much and I was scared as hell. I went to the doctor and said that it is hereditary and that I could consider medication but I didn't want to. I honestly don't know what triggers them. I am an athlete - I usually run for about 20 miles every day, work out and burn at least 1,000 cal per day, and eat pretty healthy. I know it is some type of food but I also don't know what it is. I live in Miami so I do get a lot of sun. I just started logging my food but I don't know if there is a particular type of food that triggers migraines. One of the athletes that I run with told me that it might because of the lack of either salt or electrolytes. Is that true?
