Migraine overview
A migraine is a headache that can purpose intense throbbing suffering or a pulsing sensation, typically on one facet of the head. It's often accompanied with the aid of nausea, vomiting, and excessive sensitivity to mild and sound. My experience-Emgality Before Deductible Woes
I've been on Emgality for 4 years and it's taken me from 3-4 migraines a week to 1 every 6 months or so. It has changed my life, to say the least.
I'm going to be employed for the first time in 2 years (short-term disability & schooling during that period), and am switching from Medicaid to employer-supplied insurance. The information I can find about the insurance I'll be on says 0% paid on prescriptions prior to meeting the $5000 deductible, then a copay after meeting the deductible. From what I can tell, with GoodRx it costs around $650. I won't qualify for the Lilly savings because I have insurance, and the co-pay card won't help until I meet my deductible (had that issue in the past).
I'm terrified that I'm going to have to go back to having migraines weekly again. I failed multiple oral meds, due to adverse side effects. I hate this country's healthcare situation and that I'm being forced to decide between medication and paying my bills.
Has anyone found any way to get Emgality cheaper than retail before meeting your deductible?
