My experience-Vestibular Migraines- New, confused and so many questions

The last 6 months have been a very rough time for me. Starting in November, I have had issues with dizziness/swaying sensations, ear fullness, tinnitus and nausea. Symptoms occur in both ears however far more in my left ear. In my right ear, if I talk loudly, my eardrum rattles or vibrates. In my left ear, there are times where I can hear a clicking sound and air blowing as I breathe. The tinnitus started as pulsatile however it is now a high pitch ringing in both ears. There are times I get a slight headache but it's barely noticeable. For the first five months the symptoms were daily but this past month has been a little better and I have had some days with only tinnitus. My Neurotologist originally suspected Menieres. Since I had no hearing loss and all my testing including VEMP came back clear, they gave me a diagnosis of Vestibular Migraines. They also ordered a CT scan and the results came back and they also think it could be SCDS along with vestibular migraines. I have a history with typical aura migraines which mostly occurred during my menstrual cycle, however I have not had one of those episodes in 6 years. They would usually follow a pattern of blurred vision followed by headache and nausea. Promethazine and Sumatriptan would help. So far with my current symptoms, Xanax seems to help the best but I know I cannot be on them long term.

I'm a little lost and confused and had a few questions:

-Is dizziness(swaying sensation), nausea, tinnitus and ear fullness all common with vestibular migraines?

-Does dental cleanings make any symptoms worse?

-Any known medication that can help with relief? My doctor prescribed a low dose of Nortriptyline, however I have not tried it yet. Since my symptoms have calmed down a bit, I was holding off on starting it. If my symptoms become bad again, I would try them but I'm a little worried.

-I have heard some vitamins may help. Any recommendations on which vitamins to try?

-Any other suggestions on what I can try to help relieve symptoms? Diet or exercise? For the last 4 months I have been on a low sodium diet (since it was originally thought to be Menieres) but I am at the point where I really really miss food. I have lost over 45 pounds in 2 months and barely eat at times.

-Any known triggers that I can try to avoid? I am having a hard time finding triggers.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
