My experience-Stop cgrp due to severe constipation?

I was doing Emgality for about 5 months. I wasn’t able to tell if it helped significantly with migraines in that time, but the constipation was so bad I had to give up on it.

I was taking stool softeners, magnesium, Metamucil, miralax, and laxatives daily with no luck. It got to the point where I could not pass stool without lots of laxatives and enemas.

Has anyone else had this bad of a reaction to Emgality? I actually ended up in the er and they didn’t believe that is what caused it. But sure enough, when I stopped it, I can poop again without the supplements.

I’m hesitant to try any of the other CGRP meds because I don’t want to have that happen again, but ubrelvy works for me as an abortive which makes me think I should consider it.

I have Botox lined up next to try in June.

Anyone have advice?
