My experience-How many days in a row will you take a triptan?

I have recently switched from zolmitriptan to sumatriptan because suma is supposed to be safer while breastfeeding. I don’t find it as effective and the migraine almost always comes back the next day. If it comes back a third day in a row I try to ride it out to avoid an overuse headache. I spend quite a bit of time debating if I should just take it again, or take zolmitriptan and be done with it. I also have a prescription for cambia, but it doesn’t always work. Just wondering what everyone else does when a migraine keeps coming back.
