My experience-How do I ask to get more in-depth screening for chronic migraines?

I (23F) have had chronic migraine since I was 9 years old. When I was younger my doctors told me to get my eyes checked, cut my long hair, take allergy medicine. All of which never really solved my chronic migraines.

Now as an adult I am diagnosed ADHD and on stimulants so I shouldn’t be taking excederin every time I get a migraine but it is legitimately the only medication that works.

I find myself having like 2-3 migraines a month and I am so exhausted from it. It usually starts in my neck or eyes and gets to the point I either throw up or have to sleep with an ice pack on my head in a cold room all day.

Is there any tests or something a doctor could do? I’ve always been told it’s genetic and never really given any solutions.
