My experience-Sumatriptan side effects & other treatments

I was hoping to get some advice from someone who would have experienced something similar. I have always been a headache-prone person and within the last 6months, my headaches (Across my forehead and eyes, usually one eye or the other) have gradually become worse, especially since the new year. I contacted my doctor and initially, I was told it was probably my posture or my eyesight but did prescribe me 1000mg of naproxen a day because standard painkillers were not helping. The naproxen was not alleviating my headaches and after getting my eyes tested to find out that they are completely fine, I called my doctor back and he put me on 50g tablets of sumatriptan. my mum is also a migraine sufferer and has been taking sumatriptan for migraines for probably 20+ years, for her it makes her incredibly tired and drowsy. I sort of expected the same to happen to me, I read all of the potential side effects and fully understood what I was doing. I took 1 sumatriptan and within 10 minutes I was extremely unwell, it gave me a terrible headache(the whole back of my head felt like it was on fire) every single muscle in my body burned as if I had just done an extreme workout, I got muscle cramps all over my body and I had a terrible fever, after about 2 hours the symptoms subsided and I was completely headache free however I never expected to experience such severe side effect and have decided to return to naproxen as the sumatriptan is not going to work for me. Has anyone else had a similar reaction to sumatriptan, & does anyone know if I will react the same way to all triptans? if anyone has any other suggestions please let me know, I will be contacting my doctor to discuss my reaction to the medication however my doctor believes that I should attend physiotherapy in order to help my headache. Best wishes
