My experience-Propranolol - what does success look like for you?

I know there’s a number of us who didn’t have good luck with propranolol, with bad side effects and reactions, but there’s also a bunch of us who have had good luck with this drug - and I’m hopeful that is me, but I’m not sure.

I’ve been taking my max dose (160mg, it seems like a lot, I know) since early January and I feel a lot better overall without weird side effects) Migraine free days feel great and I’m happy and productive.

Overall, my migraines are less severe (yay!) and shorter (my migraines last around 5 days) but I feel like there might be a few more of them now since they aren’t as long and easier to pinpoint. I’m taking my eletriptan about once a week. My anxiety is better, and I’ve been more focused with work and home tasks.

Is this as good as it gets? I have a follow up appointment in about a month and I’m not sure what to say or ask for. At my last appointment my doctor prepared me with the knowledge that they’ll never go away completely… so what’s a good goal for migraine sufferers?
