My experience-Externing annoyee; aphasia and my constant stream of thought

Last night I had gotten a migraine that included speech problems with my usual aura, but I couldn't fall asleep and instead just layed down for a bit with my eyes closed. The closest I can describe my aphasia is like if I put my sentences in Scrabble pieces and then shook all of the letters up; some of them stay in place but the rest get shuffled around. Not perfectly accurate but this is a migraine subreddit so if you know you know.

This is mostly not the worst part of migraines for me. I work from home and everyone I live with is well aware of my migraines so I'm not expected to speak much when I get them. But one thing that drives me absolutely crazy is that I can't shut my brain off. It doesn't just affect my speech, it happens in my head when I think as well. That constant stream of thought won't shut up even when it doesn't work right and my head is in extreme pain. Like I know what I'm trying to tell myself even if I can't put it into words, but I still put so much brain power into trying to remember the English language. At one point last night I stopped to try to think to myself that this is "extremely annoying" and I couldn't even get that right.

Anyway, not really looking for advice or anything, just wanted to rant a bit to people who might understand haha
