My experience-SO disappointed, edible didn't work

Now that I'm middle-aged, I'm very interested in the possibilities of herbal-based solutions for medical reasons. Vaping CBD with THC often helps me sleep during a migraine, when I didn't take meds in time before an attack (since there's constant vomiting involved.)

In the past, anytime I've tried weed, it just put me to sleep. Some edibles give me the relaxed "high," though, so this weekend I tried a new THC edible.

Instantly, it triggered a migraine that lasted the next 24hrs. WTF. How are we supposed to know which edibles are triggers? Guess I have to examine the ingredient breakdowns for more details about terpene profiles and whatnot. 😣

Anyway, apologies if this isn't the right forum, but I'm just recovering from a terrible Saturday night/Sunday and am wondering what I should be looking out for. It's like my hopes have been shattered for this alternative source of relief.
